For me, the lines where "casual gaming" and "real gaming" blur the most are here. Westward 3 is the match for ANY big box RTS game you've ever played. Period.
There's more adventure to this episode of the series, but don't let that deter you: Westward III has a ton of strategy play.
Build structures, secure a food and water supply, mine gold... then tackle the bandits! You can hire gunslingers to protect you from the bad guys.
There is just so much to this game. It works on every level. There are simple "build up" levels, "build up and defend the town" levels and even "attack the hideout" levels, but the strongest feature of Westward 3 is the length of the game. It's huge!
