Travel League: The Missing Jewels

Your cell phone runs your life anyway, so it seems fitting that it's the focus of Travel League: The Missing Jewels, a mystery HOG which sets you the challenge of flying around the world to recover the family's jewel collection.

Locations available to you on the world map have red circles. Click to fly to the city and then explore each snapshot location. Each one is a hidden object scene, though there's always more involved than meets the eye.

Characters you interact with there will set you new challenges to keep the game interesting. You'll also receive calls from your partner on the cell to update you with information, such as the type of object you're looking for in the scene you're in. Clear that level and another snapshot appears in the city and you're one step closer to solving the mystery.

This is one HOG where it pays not to skip conversation. A lot of effort has gone into making this a rich and involved characterized game, so sit through the cut scenes and get into the story. You will enjoy the game much more if you do.

Click on a bird (or a frog if you're underwater) and the creature will lead you to an object, or a butterfly. Each butterfly you collect is another hint. Use a hint and the screen goes dark, a green crosshair lights up and moves to the exact location of one object. A nice effect.

Find a jewel -- it IS possible, eventually! -- and you move to a mini-game where you have to use logic or dexterity to "repair" it. Fun and pretty.
