If you've played many a HOG in your time and are looking for a big new challenge, then Sarah Maribu is definitely not it. While it's a big game with a lot of meat on its bones, the clues and puzzles are too easy for some. It is a perfect teenager's hidden object quest, or a game for parents to play with kids.
Sarah's exploring an uncharted island with her boyfriend when he disappears. Following signs of a struggle, she must piece together clues and find hidden objects so they can both escape the island.
The map contains dozens of locations. Solve each one and you can move ahead to the next. A list of items you need -- displayed as graphics -- appears on the left and when you find one, another will appear in its place until you have found everything you need. Some items become tools and must be used to interact with the background.
Clicking on the areas of the screen usually drops hints about what you are looking for, which makes the puzzles too easy for hardened mystery fans like me. But it's a good helping hand for younger players.
Sarah Maribu and the Lost World is pretty and big, but not too hard. Try the FREE 1hr trial from Big Fish Games and make up your own mind!
