While at first glance Plant Tycoon seems lame and slow, it's one of those games that can grow on you (no pun intended) until you find it hard to weed out of your life! (Pun intended.)

Running a nursery for plants may not sound like much fun, but it turns out to be a LOT of fun! You begin with a small amount of money, with which you must buy seeds, soil, plant food and medicine.

Rather like Fish Tycoon, you must then offer your excess plants for sale, re-invest the cash in your business, buying more exotic (expensive) plant seeds and so the merry go round of Plant Tycoon continues.

There aren't many games which continue while you're not playing, but this one does! Plants grow while you're not playing and you can come back to find a flourishing greenhouse, or a mess, depending on how long you've left it between sessions.

One nice touch is the ability to cross-polinate plants to discover new varieties. Using some of your precious cash to snap up extinct or endangered seeds, which require special care, is another line to take.
