While I was expecting a lot from this game, I found Passport to Perfume lacking the essential "must play" elements to elevate it above the other many similar games out there.
As the heiress to a Perfumier, you must turn a derelict shop into a thriving business, then move on to the next city. Serve customers in the usual way, before they get upset and leave.
There are plenty of nice touches here. Customers who are indecisive can be given any perfume. You can also hand a sampler to a customer and earn a bonus when they pick.
Why people are in such a hurry for something as relaxing as perfume, I don't know, but you know that you have a short time to keep them satisfied. Add sparkles and gift wrap to increase the cost per sale.
For some reason, the adventure elements I loved in Chocolatier 2: Secret Ingredients are not here. You have to find hidden objects instead, which is not particularly fun or interesting. Come back from these bonus games and you have a new ingredient to mix new perfumes with.
