Life Quest game
Rating out of five:
★★★★★
+ Hugely original concept, tremendous fun to play
+ Sims-like strategy a first for the casual gaming market
+ Super-cute graphics and good sound
– Gameplay might not be varied enough for some players

If you've grown tired of the same-old, same-old genres in the casual gaming market, then prepare to be blown away by Life Quest. It's funny, original and very addictive!
You just graduated from college. Now your older sister is helping you get established in the big city. Suddenly the phone rings and a girl from your high school yearbook is on the line, but it's not to ask you out on a date: she is challenging you to a kind of life contest. First one to get a job and a pet wins!
Though this sounds like a silly premise for a game, it works really well. All your activities take place in locations on the city grid. Click to move from place to place, but plan ahead, because you have a limited number of action points to use per day.
Every day of Life Quest you must eat once, otherwise you starve and lose 10% of the following day's action points. Within your daily allowance of action, you must work to earn money to eat, pay the rent and buy cool stuff for your apartment, or equipment for post-grad courses.
Taking courses improves your life skills. By improving your life skills, you can qualify for better jobs, earn more money, afford better stuff and maybe even move out of the lowlife apartment into a condo, attract a girlfriend, maybe get married and have kids...
Dating is an extra action. You can find a date by placing a personal ad in the paper. Now click on the Family options and set up a date with the person who responded. Dates include a meal, a game of Chess, or a trip to the clothes shops for a new outfit. Fill the heart icon and you'll be able to propose marriage.
At the end of each main challenge, another person from your yearbook phones to set up the next one. In addition, every day you score points based on what you did that day. Even relaxing has its benefits! (As if you didn't already know that...)
Life Quest is the best game I have downloaded from Big Fish, ever. It's that good! Click here to download a FREE 1hr trial from Big Fish Games and find out for yourself.
