Jewel Match 2

Jewel Match 2 is a bit of an impostor, feeling like a rip off of the true classics in the Match 3 genre like Bejeweled. I can only recommend it for beginners, or for people with nostalgia for a basic Match 3 game.

This one follows all the rules of all Match 3 games. Your first goal is to trade the jewels over the yellow parts of the board.

As you do this, you reveal amulets, and you've won the round when you clear them. You can choose the timed mode if you want, and there will be other obstacles in there as well.

You'll find more difficult gems, like chained ones that won't move until you match them up. Some are even double-chained. You get silver areas over gold ones, and sometimes gems are locked within blocks that have to be broken.

Some power-ups like hammers, bombs and fireballs can be bought or earned to help you. You purchase them by saving up enough money or manna.

Maybe I've been too harsh in my initial assessment. Jewel Match 2 isn't really bad, it's just a bit dull. All that glitter and gold doesn't do very much to liven up this game.
