Horatio's Travels fore-goes the typical female-in-distress scenario and you find yourself playing a penguin. It's charming and cheeky, but perhaps different from the challenge you expect in the TM genre.
Horatio's ambitious dream is to share his one true love with the world: that of cold, delicious ice cream. He sets off on an adventure to serve ice cream to animals across the globe. He travels to eight locales with 55 different levels. Not bad for a waddling cutie-pie.
The play is quite simple. You bop an animal on the head to get the order, then walk off to get the ingredients in a particular order. Lemurs are your little assistants, and your goal is to scoop your way to riches by the day's end.
There are great inter-level upgrades, like a 'panic' button that relaxes everyone. The overall reason to play this game is to see how cute Horatio and his animal buddies are.
A few problems; there are no combos, and you cannot chain actions too far in advance. You can't correct it if you overlap the current order with a future one.
Horatio's Travels, like ice cream, is sure to put a smile on your face, but it lacks a challenge for TM veterans. It's worth the download if you want a change and are looking for a lighter type of multi-tasking nuttiness.
