Hells Kitchen the game
Rating:
★★★
+ A chance for Gordon Ramsey fans to feel the heat!
+ Interesting two-screen gameplay, well themed to the show
+ Quite a lot of levels to defeat
– Feels contrived and lacks variety

Hell's Kitchen the game doesn't feature Ramsey's signature swearing, but you might find yourself supplying your own if things don't go well!
The Hell's Kitchen TV show is the basis for this arcade game and you will know what it's all about if you've watched the sweaty, smoking cooks do their best to survive Gordon's wrath. The first major difference to Hell's Kitchen the game is, you play on your own. No team to defeat. That's a shame, as it could have been an interesting twist.
You have to control two screens at once! Jean-Phillipe is boss of the restaurant dining area, where he has to guide people to their tables, take their orders and (eventually!) bring their food to them.
Meanwhile, you'll be frantically prepping and cooking food on the other screen. Select different ingredients, click to prep them and then click on the pans to use the readied stuff.
If you burn food, or don't time it properly and let other dishes go cold, you lose points. Lose too many and you're OUT of Hell's Kitchen!
You'll have to take the 1hr FREE trial to decide whether this is a game you would enjoy or not. For me, it's a decent game that could have been so much more, though Ramsey's recipes in the game are almost worth the price of admission.
