En Garde! The Three Musketeers: Queen Anne's Diamonds is another in this fun series. While there's no difference visually or in gameplay to the others, if you enjoyed them, then more of the same will be music to your ears -- even if you won't believe your EYES!
Yes, these games are ugly, but not so many years ago, gamers were more interested in how a game played than how it looked. This is a throwback, but it's a good one!

Duel the Cardinal's guards, fight for your honor, fall in love, get drunk and spend Francs with your Musketeer pals -- all in a day's work. As you fight and complete quests, you will level up your skills.
The Three Musketeers feels like a "real" old RPG, right down to the buy-sell screen that allows you to move items around to tidy up your inventory. Better items improve your battle skills and honor, if you can afford them.

There's no getting away from it: this game could benefit from a more talented graphics guy, but somehow it suits the setting of the French era. You will soon forgive the artist and enjoy rummaging in crates and chests for treasure, fighting duels and exploring, just like all good free RPG downloads.
