It's not often that I run out of superlatives for a game, but Dream Chronicles: The Book of Air is one such occasion. It's a stunner!
Take to the skies in a weird airship thingie and chase your grandfather's clues across a fantasy landscape. Each and every location will reward you with a visual feast -- you'll want to keep moving on just to see the next pretty place.

For once, you are not expected to hunt a list of hidden objects -- apart from dream pieces. These little gems turn up everywhere and are used to power spells. Those aside, your game consists of logic puzzles, observation challenges, jigsaws, mini-games and other tests of your grey matter.
Sometimes these get too hard -- quite early on, I gave up trying and consulted a walkthru. A shame, as many gamers might be put off inside the 1hr free trial and never experience what is for me one of the best "casual" games ever.

As you explore, you'll love listening to the voices, which are superbly acted, and reading the text, which is brilliantly crafted. Every detail has been paid attention to.
