Create A Mall is a fun tycoon game that could have been better had all the programming worked. You don't get too much variety, but window shopping can be fun for a while.

Although the world certainly does NOT need another strip mall, we can't deny it's serious business. You play a young business person who is determined to prove themselves by creating mini retail empires.

At each level, you have certain goals that must be met within a time limit if you want to achieve the coveted expert status. The tasks you get are things like building stores with upgrades, gaining client popularity and taking in a certain amount of money.

It's quite simple to install a store; the difficulties arise that you have limits on manpower, money and resources. The art is in the balance between what is profitable and what is popular while trying to attain the goals. This may mean demolishing one franchise to make room for another.

If you're into tycoon games, thinking and fashion games but don't mind a bit of a dated look and gameplay, Create a Mall is worth a try. Just don't expect it to be like shopping on Rodeo Drive.
