3 Cards to Dead Time is dark and scary in a good way. It takes the usual HOG concept and give it a good shake to make it a lot more thrilling.
Jess is a girl who has a few problems. Her parents are dead, her boyfriend's about to dump her, and ... oh, she's being haunted. To boot, she's part of a long-forgotten mystery.
In this game, the protagonist has to examine her surroundings in a bit more than your usual HOG method. The word lists are word puzzles you have to solve in order to find the objects.
In some examples, you have to discover 'things that are ruined by sunlight' or something that's an antonym of the described object.
What makes it more challenging is that after nine miss-clicks, you have to start the location all over again. Once you get 100 points for finding objects, you earn a free hint.
3 Cards to Dead Time is dark and creepy but worth the shivers. It has several things that set it apart and make it a memorable hidden object game.
